2008: Thomas is a two-year starter (Soph./Jr.). He had 52 tackles, 31 solo in only eight games (ankle injury). He had two sacks, two interceptions, six pass breakups and four tackles for loss.
Coach Jarrod Hickman says of Thomas "He is an extremely physical player (was slowed by an ankle injury all year 2008) although is a strong safety at the next level at times has filled in at linebacker. He has good speed (4.5) and is a very good atckler in the open field. Josh has a tremendous motor that never stops and is someone who makes a lot of plays because he is always flying to the ball." |
