| Biography: |
| One of three major recruiting prospects on the O-Line at St. Thomas Aquinas (Sam Young and Daniel Wenger), Gilbert has the ability to play guard or tackle. He'll soon become a three year starter. He doubles as a defensive lineman but projects on offense in college. He also throws the shot put and discus and plays basketball, which helps out tremendously with his agility and overall athletic ability on the football field. He's coming off an outstanding junior season and will be one of the state's best in 2005. His brother, David, plays on the defensive line at Iowa. |
