2012 WR Avery Johnson (Ely)
Johnson announced his intentions this week to join his brother (Patrick Peterson) in Baton Rouge. He had a great night with a big time catch in the endzone for a TD where he went up and over the DB. He has started to fill out and stands 6'1+, 185+ with great speed. Johnson has elite hands; he just snatches the ball out of the air and made several nice adjustments on balls. We noticed that he will get after it blocking down the field and he almost sprung his RB on two separate occasions. He will clearly be one of the top WRs in the Sunshine State in 2012.
2014 QB Danarius Graham (Ely)
Wow, we had already heard of the youngster and he delivered with an exceptional performance for a freshmen. Graham had 2-3 big-time cuts in the middle of the field as he eluded pressure and took off. He scored from 70+ on a QB keeper where he sprinted wide and left defenders in his dust. He is a terrific athlete and it will be interesting to watch him develop as both a QB and football player. Already 5'10ish, he looks to have a big-time future.
2012 WR Avery Johnson made several big plays

2011 DB Courtney Hall (Ely)
Hall snagged a pair of interceptions on defense and played out of the slot on offense. We are surprised that he has flown under the radar as much as he has; Hall showed quite a bit of wiggle offensively and obviously had a big game on defense. He lined up at Safety, but at 5'10, 175 he projects to CB. We would look for his stock to rise the rest of the year.
2011 LB Conard Johnson (Ely)
The transfer from Dillard had a big game tonight. He was all over the field on defense making plays. Johnson is very physical and despite a lack of ideal height, he does have superior strength. Johnson just threw blockers off of himself and consistently displayed good lateral mobility. He packs some real punch when he arrives as well. Johnson has attracted significant D-1 interest.
2011 DL Wilkins Brutus (Ely)
Brutus is a bit of a tweener at 6'2, 225. He has the frame to really pack on the pounds, but right now is not powerful enough inside, nor quick enough on the edge. He finds the football well and flashed quality athleticism. We think his best days are a few years out.
2011 WR Anthony Drayton (Stranahan)
Drayton was clearly Stranahan's top athlete and "go to" offensive performer. He made several nice grabs and came close to a couple of big plays. He is going to play in the slot at the next level where his quickness should allow him to excel. Tough player, he also doubled as a DB in this one.
2014 WR Mike Joseph (Stranahan)
Stranahan has their own freshmen and Joseph scored their lone TD with a beautiful grab. He is all the things that freshmen are supposed to be(raw, light), but we are certain to hear more from him in the future.
2012 Ely DB Adrian Burton played sparingly due to injury and then left the field on a stretcher. It is thought that it was precautionary.
2011 Stranahan DE/OLB Irving Steele made some plays out there and should see interest rise this year.
Ely has great depth across the whole roster and they played three QBs in this one.
2012 Stranahan RB Tim Taylor has some tools to work with.
Thursday night were the first games of the 2010 high school football year. SunStateFootball was at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale to see Ely take on Stranahan. The Tiger's of Ely won 34-6 and here is a look at how some of the prospects fared.
