SunStateFootball Top 100: 51-60

Spring Football is over and prospects will turn their attention to team camps, university camps, 7on7 events, and team workouts for the summer. breaks down the top 100 prospects in the state continuing with 41-50.

51. Mike Matulis

School: Lake Worth (Park Vista)

Ht/Wt: 6'6, 285

Position: Offensive Tackle

Offers: Florida State, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Maryland, Louisville

Matulis is a player on the rise as he has shown tremendous improvement from junior year to Spring. He has prototypical size and clearly still has upside left. Dominant run blocker. He has started to attract serious interest on the recruiting trail, look for that to continue through his senior year.

52. Jeremy Cash

School: Plantation

Ht/Wt: 6'1, 190

Position: Safety

Offers: Committed to Ohio State

Cash has great size, athleticism, and he will hit against the run. He likes to play downhill and has quality speed. He needs to improve his coverage skills and play the ball better when it is in the air. Cash made an early commitment to Ohio State.

53. Nile Lawrence-Stample

School: Davie (Nova)

Ht/Wt: 6'1, 300

Position: Defensive Tackle

Offers: Committed to Florida State

This is a prospect who played LB as a junior, but has simply blown up physically to the listed size. He is obviously very raw as a DT, but you can't teach his athleticism and seems to have a good nose for the ball. There is a lot of upside here. Lawrence-Stample is committed to Florida State, but is expected to take visits.

54. Phil Dorsett

School: Fort Lauderdale (St Thomas Aquinas)

Ht/Wt: 5'9, 170

Position: Wide Receiver

Offers: Ohio State, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Miami

Another St. Thomas play-maker on the outside, Dorsett is elite physically. He made some of his biggest plays last year at crunch time. He lacks ideal size and needs to catch the ball more consistently. It is thought that Dorsett will take visits.

55. Gionni Paul

School: Lakeland (Kathleen)

Ht/Wt: 6'0, 210

Position: Linebacker

Offers: Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Louisville, South Florida, West Virginia, Florida State

Paul flies to the football and delivers some pop when he arrives. He has good range and is a complete player showing good coverage instincts(six picks). He will probably settle in at Outside Linebacker at the next level. Paul is expected to take visits in the Fall.

56. Mike Blakely

School: Bradenton (Manatee)

Ht/Wt: 5'9, 190

Position: Running Back

Offers: Auburn, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida

Blakely was instrumental in Manatee's 2009 success, he was the most consistent play-maker on offense and proved that he is a feature back at the next level. He has added a ton of size and is now a very strong 5'9, 190. He reaches top speed quickly, will stone defenders when blocking, and is an asset in the running game. Auburn has taken the early lead for Blakely, but he is expected to take visits.

57. Andre Davis

School: Tampa (Jefferson)

Ht/Wt: 6'1, 180

Position: Wide Receiver

Offers: Miami, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Texas Tech, South Florida

Davis has some of the best ball skills not just this year, but in the last decade. When the ball is in the air, it is his. He has plus size at 6'1 and he uses it to his advantage. He lacks great speed so there is question of how much separation he can get at the next level. Davis is expected to take visits.

58. Ruben Gonzalez

School: Tampa (Robinson)

Ht/Wt: 6'3, 190

Position: Safety/Wide Receiver

Offers: Minnesota, Purdue, Washington State, New Mexico

Gonzalez is a two way standout for Robinson and could play either position in college. He has elite size and athleticism. There probably is not a more under rated prospect in the state, the offers have started to come, and we expect that to continue until signing day.

59. Ahmad Christian

School: Jacksonville (Trinity Christian)

Ht/Wt: 5'10, 185

Position: Cornerback

Offers: Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Vanderbilt

Top athlete that projects to Cornerback. Christian has great strength and power on his 5'10 frame to go with quick hips and pure speed. He has made plays on both sides of the ball and could be used in the return game. Christian is considered wide open on the recruiting trail.

60. Tom Smith

School: Apopka

Ht/Wt: 6'0, 205

Position: Running Back

Offers: Tennessee, Colorado, Wisconsin, Pitt, Northwestern

Highly productive big back that can carry the load at the next level. Smith runs away from defenders on film showing good top end speed. He is an excellent blocker and has flashed potential in the passing game. Smith should see interest continue to rise until signing day. Recommended Stories
