Campbell Wide Open

Torrey Campbell burst onto the scene as a freshmen running back, the 5'11 speedster is now a senior at Barron Collier and he talked about the latest on the recruiting front.

There are no shortage of suitors for Campbell, "I have offers from Tennessee, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Maryland, Boston College, Kentucky, South Florida, Iowa, and Duke. I definately feel blessed to have the opportunity to play football at the next level, it has always been a dream of mine," said Torrey Campbell.

There has been some chatter that Campbell had a favorite or was narrowing down his list, "No, I would say I am wide open right now. I'm really looking forward to seeing as many universities as I can this summer and competing at their camps. I have a lot of things to learn about them educationally, which schools offer majors in areas that I am interested in exploring, I want to have as much information as possible."

Campbell talked about what is important to him and what position he is being recruited for, "Some schools like me as a DB others as a RB, it is something that I will have to think about as I move forward. I'm looking for the best fit and where I can see myself thriving at the next level. I really like every coach that I have met and that relationship will be important to me."

Campbell has made several unofficial visits, "All of the schools have simply amazing campuses and facilities, I don't think a person can go wrong."

The first thing that jumps out about Campbell is his speed. He blazed a 4.41 at the Nike Combine earlier this year.

Collier won the district in 2009 and Campbell was a big part of that, "our goals are similar to last year, we want to repeat as district champions, work hard, and the rest will take care of itself. I will play more defensive back next year and I hope to make a big impact on that side of the ball."
