A quick recap of what happened Friday night across the Sunshine State.

DADE

Miami Northwestern beat Hialeah-Miami Lakes 54-23 behind Teddy Bridewater's 7 TD passes. The Bulls move to 3-0.

Booker T. Washington(4-0) beat Coral Gables 36-7.

Gulliver beat Archbishop Carroll 60-21 behind a huge game by junior athlete Cedric Walker.

BROWARD

Miramar scored 14 in the 3rd quarter to pull away from Plantation and win 29-7.

St. Thomas beat crosstown rival Cardinal Gibbons 35-7. They face nationally ranked Byrnes(S.C.) next week.

Boyd Anderson had two interceptions for TD's and as they beat Northeast 27-7.

PALM BEACH

Jupiter Christian rallied in the second half to beat Glades Day 28-21. Troy Pendergrass had a 93 yard kickoff return and QB Marshyl Rothman threw for 221 and ran for over 100.

Glades Central remained perfect with a 32-22 win over Royal Palm Beach.

Treasure Coast beat PB Gardens 17-7.

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA

Venice improved to 3-1 with a 41-14 win over Sarasota Riverview.

Ida Baker (4-0) remained undefeated with a 37-8 win over Lakewood Ranch. It was the first TD surrendered by the Bulldog defense.

Charlotte beat rival Desoto County 48-7 behind the trifecta of QB Kyle Midgett, RB Mike Bellamy, and WR Alex Mut.

TAMPA

Hillsborough beat Alonso 49-23 piling up over 500 yards of offense along the way.

Armwood shut out Wharton 49-0.

ORLANDO/POLK

Lakeland stopped a two point conversion attempt in overtime to defeat De Lasalle out in California 31-30. The Dreadnaughts had to overcome more than 15 penalties.

Seminole beat Mainland 21-20 in overtime on an Eric Farkas blocked extra point.

Osceola handled Carson(CA) 32-13.

Dr. Phillips (4-0) won 35-0 over Cypress Creek(3-1) in a battle of previously unbeatens. They scored all their points in the second quarter.

JACKSONVILLE

Menendez beat Ridgeview 35-21 behind back to back "pick 6's" by LB Tony Steward in the 4th quarter.

Forrest held on to beat Parker 21-14.

First Coast(2-2) beat previously unbeaten Sandalwood 35-13 behind Eric Beverly's 118 yards on 18 carries.

Buchholz beat Vanguard 28-21 in overtime as RB Wintrez Thomas ran 19 times for 147 yards.

PANHANDLE

Lincoln beat Rickards 17-6 behind a strong defense and special teams.

Madison County beat Leon 28-14 piling up 365 rushing yards.

Niceville held on to beat Godby 24-21 behind several big plays.

Pace beat Tate 28-14. A sevon plus minute drive in the 4th quarter (all on the ground) sealed the deal.
