Here are a few of the standouts from Week 2 of the high school football season.

QUARTERBACK

Manatee QB Brion Carnes was 17-26 for 251 yards and 2 TD's. He added two more in a 35-3 win over Palmetto.

Atlantic QB Mark Leal threw for 5 TD's and 268 yards in a win over Jupiter.

Dwyer junior QB Jacoby Brisset was 7-9 for 201 yards with 3 TD's through the air and one on the ground.

Venice QB Trey Burton ran for 187 yards and threw for 156 in a 28-20 win over Braden River.

Hudson QB Zack Wynn went 25 for 40 for 330 yards and 4 TD's in a win over Wesley Chapel. He added 59 yards on the ground and another score.

RUNNING BACK

Ed White RB Casey Turner rumbled for 301 yards with 4 TD's on 27 carries in a win over Raines.

Columbus RB Jakhari Gore ran 16 times for 229 yards and 4 scores in the Explorer's win over Belen.

Tarpon Springs RB Adrian Golden exploded for 216 yards on 16 carries with 2 TD's.

Desoto County RB Marcus Shaw ran for 208 yards on 27 carries with 2 TD's in a 38-28 win over Sarasota Booker.

Taravella RB Devon Wright had 162 yards on 22 carries with 3 TD's in a 34-18 win over Coconut Creek.

Jupiter Christian RB Will Powers had 182 yards on 20 carries and a TD while racking up 10+ tackles.

Ely RB Keltron Goodwin had 9 carries for 163 yards with 3 2 TD's in a 32-6 win over South Plantation.

Moore Haven RB Fred Hall had 26 carries for 250 yards with 6 TD's in a 53-24 win over Berean Christian.

St. Augustine RB Duane Brady ran for 189 yards and 4 TD's on 16 carries in a win over Bartram Trail.

Arlington Country Day RB Otis Anderson had 305 yards on just 12 carries in a win over St. John's Country Day.

Penascola Catholic RB Marquis Sumler ran for 166 yards against Gulf Breeze.

Lake Gibson RB Remi Watson had 4 TD's and 151 yards in a win over George Jenkins.

Williston RB Deonte Welch went for 165 yards on 16 carries.

WIDE RECEIVER

Ribault WR Javon Bell had a huge night in a 27-25 win over First Coast. He finished with 8 catches for 226 yards and 3 TD's.

Pahokee WR Chris Dunkley had 6 catches for 144 yards and a TD.

Immokalee WR James Talbert had 5 catches for 149 yards in the Indian's upset of Naples.

Boone WR Denard Lucas had 7 catches for 144 yards and two scores.

Frostproof athlete Nickell Robey had 4 TD's (3 run, 1 reception).
