Carol City vs. Northwestern at Traz Powell: A classic match-up between two of the best programs in talent rich Dade. Northwestern has controlled this rivalry recently, but Carol City is on the up-tick and is coming off a solid win vs. Glades Central.
Northwestern should have one of the best offenses in the state, how well the Chiefs do against that powerful attack is the key. It will be the first look at the maturation of QB Teddy Bridgewater, there are a host of additional weapons. While Carol City has some play-makers, including riser Allen Hurns, they simply don't have the firepower to get in a track meet. No reason this Bull defense won't be one of the top 5 units in the state.
In the end, Northwestern has too much.

Boyd Anderson at Cypress Bay: Great match-up of playoff Broward teams. Two things are for certain: Boyd Anderson is as talented as anyone and Coach Guandalo's Cypress Bay team will be ready to play.
One way to neutralize the Cobra's embarrassment of riches in the secondary is to pound the ball and Cypress Bay will do that with their Wing-T attack. A consistent run game + turnovers are the way to stay in this one. Boyd Anderson has some offensive question marks, mainly the OL, they will be tested this week.
There appears to be too much talent at Boyd Anderson this year.
