The 6-foot-9 Alabama recruit scored 10 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, had 10 assists and blocked 13 shots while playing only 23 minutes due to foul trouble. St. Louis' Savvis Center hosted the 24th annual Shop 'n Save/KMOX Shootout with a field that included four ranked teams. Highlighting the action was No. 2 Flossmoor, Ill., Homewood-Flossmoor's 55-41 win over regionally ranked Webster Groves, Mo. A national ESPN2 television audience and around 7,000 ticket-buying fans were treated to a matchup of two of America's top-ranked big men at Butler University's Hinkle Fieldhouse. Third-ranked Indianapolis, Lawrence North and 7-foot junior Greg Oden were too much for No. 23 Poplar Bluff, Mo., led by North Carolina signee Tyler Hansbrough. The Wildcats won the game, 56-40. Oden finished with a team-high 16 points and five rebounds. Hansbrough scored 16 and grabbed 12 boards. |
