SunStateFootball Top 100: 86-90

Ereck Flowers

The state of Florida is expected to have over 330 players sign D-1 scholarships on signing day. SunStateFootball provides a Pre-Spring Top 100 to highlight SOME of the top players in the state. Here is a look at players 86-90.

86. Ereck Flowers

Area Rank: Dade(15)

School: Miami Norland

Ht/Wt: 6'5, 290

Offers: Illinois, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Memphis, WMU

Flowers is blowing up this Spring because he possesses elite size with good mobility. He has transferred to Norland from Dr. Krop and will pave the way for talented RB Duke Johnson. There is nothing but upside remaining for Flowers and it is up to him to see how good he can be. Looks to be an OT, but could certainly slide inside to OG as well down the road.

87. Jawand Blue

Area Rank: PB(7)

School: West Boca Raton

Ht/Wt: 6'0, 200

Position: Linebacker

Offers: Pitt, Vanderbilt, WVU, East Carolina

Keep an eye on West Boca as D-1 prospects are starting to come out of there. Last year Robert Lockhart was the state's biggest sleeper and Blue should follow in his footsteps as a BCS signee. He has good size at 6'0, 200 and can play all three LB spots. Blue can run and is exactly the type of player that schools come to Florida to land. He should see double digit offers by signing day.

88. Nathan Peterman

Area Rank: Jax(7)

School: Bartram Trail

Ht/Wt: 6'2, 200

Position: Quarterback

Offers: FIU, Miami(Oh), Southern Miss

The latest QB from Bartram Trail(Kyle Parker), Peterman is a pro style QB with a plus, accurate arm. He can move around in the pocket, but is not going to get a ton of yards with his feet. Peterman is being watched by a number of BCS schools and will likely earn some of those offers this summer. He is consistent and just needs to find the right offense for his skill-set.

89. Torry Clayton

Area Rank: Dade(16)

School: Homestead South Dade

Ht/Wt: 5'9, 200

Position: Running Back

Offers: UCF, Memphis, WMU, Ball State

Very productive back from 6A Dade. Clayton has good size and enough speed to make some plays down the field. Very strong, he seldom goes down on first contact and is a natural runner with good vision. Clayton sits on 4 offers right now, but more schools will join the mix by the end of Spring. There is plenty of upside left here.

90. Ricky Jones

Area Rank: SwFla(8)

School: Sarasota Booker

Ht/Wt: 5'10, 185

Position: Wide Receiver

Offers: UNC, USF, TT, WVU, WKU

Play-maker. Jones has been Booker's top offensive player the past two years and always seems to have a couple of big-time plays. He is thick and strong, runs great routes, has soft hands, and has quality burst. Lacks great height. Jones could be a no. 2 type or move to the slot at the next level, he also could get some looks at CB. There are not many more productive players in the state.
